Creating a Free SSL Certificate for Your Website

How to Create a Free SSL Certificate with Let's Encrypt

Log into the Shared Hosting Control Panel
- Go to https://cp.lonestardataranch.com and log in with your credentials.

Select Your Website
- On the dashboard, click on the website for which you want to create an SSL certificate.

Access the Security Tab
- Navigate to the Security tab within your website settings.

Request Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate
- On the line with your domain, click the three dots (⋮) on the right-hand side.
- Select Request Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate to initiate the process.

Optional: Enable Force HTTPS
- After requesting the certificate, you can choose to enable Force HTTPS by sliding the toggle. This setting will automatically redirect visitors to the secure HTTPS version of your site.
Once complete, your website will be secured with a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, which renews automatically.
Installing a Custom SSL Certificate
If you have purchased an SSL certificate from a different provider, you can install it manually using the following steps:

Log into the Shared Hosting Control Panel
- Go to https://cp.lonestardataranch.com and log in.

Select Your Website and Access the Security Tab
- Click on the website you want to secure and go to the Security tab.

Install Custom SSL
- Click on Install Custom SSL to open the setup form.

Enter Certificate Details
- You will need to provide the following information:
- Domain: Select the domain for which you are installing the SSL.
- Certificate (CRT): Paste your Certificate (CRT) text or upload the file.
- Private Key: Paste your Private Key text or upload the file associated with your SSL.

Complete Installation
- Once you have entered or uploaded the required files, confirm the details and complete the installation.
